Notes on SPAZIO 1999 [1975] [Part 1]
'SPACE: 1999' is a British television series that originally aired from 1975 to 1977.
Ennio Morricone did not contribute to the TV series itself, but to the Italian feature film [1976] edited from the series.
As in the rest of the world, the series was aired on Italian television using the original Barry Gray [and others] music.

"In addition to the series being shown on television, three episodes were edited together into a compilation and shown in cinemas. ... The Italian title is SPAZIO 1999 (with no colon). ... The compilation used music from Ennio Morricone in place of Barry Gray's theme." / / /

Opening credits: "Musiche composte e dirette da Ennio Morricone"

SPAZIO 1999 was released in early 1976. Morricone had already recorded the music in 1975.
