‣19/04/2017 Bob Hendrikx Notes on Patty Pravo: UN TRENO IN PIÙ [1975]
Patty Pravo's "Un treno in più" is related to the SPAZIO 1999 film [1976], without belonging to the soundtrack.

The song is based on the same Morricone orchestration as the "Le train" piece vocalized by Edda Dell'Orso, which does belong to SPAZIO 1999. The Edda piece was called "Le train" because it was first released in 1979 in connection with the TV mini series ORIENT-EXPRESS.
Ennio Morricone's soundtrack [including the Edda piece] was recorded in 1975, or reportedly in 1974.
About the SPAZIO 1999 soundtrack: http://bit.ly/1qkiIUY

Patty recorded "Un treno in più" [originally titled "Spazio"] at the end of 1975, a few months before the release of the SPAZIO 1999 film in 1976.
The song was intended for her 1976 "Tanto" LP, but not released until 2005 on 2CD "Canzoni stupende".

‣26/04/2008 eda-88 Re: 'Le Train'
Didier, many thanks for this info!
Because "Le Train" one of my favorites creation of Morricone 70's...
Really loved this theme in 2000, when i found one album mp-3 with this track but i like and prefer "Le Train"-version 3:09 minutes from Unknown Album...(I Have on mp-3)..haven't seen on the Database. In that version voice also or chorus but i'm not sure that Edda Dell'Orso voice (that was on "Orient Express" included).

Also another version of "Le Train" released in Russian album (like you said Unofficial)-"Anthology-Best hits from the movies" (Covers you can find in my blog i've uploaded it for all MLovers)...

I can sent it to you e-mail version of "Le Train" or as for Week's Special!

In fact, the "Unknown" variation about i wrote above of the legendary theme "Le Train", in fact from the old 1988 release CD: "The Allen Toussaint Orchestra - The Music Of Ennio Morricone (1988)", performed and produced by Allen Toussaint!

Great variations album, Some themes from The Untouchables, Frantic, my Name is Nobody, etc...

Also, there is the one mistake, the track 'I'm gonna love you' - in fact from 'Frantic' movie, but not by Morricone and the song is originally called 'I'm gona lose you'.

Allen Toussaint made absolutely great, awesome variation of 'Le Train', better than EM, it's great, one of the best!

‣02/03/2010 WebMaster Re: She performed 'Metti Una Sera A Cena'
Eldar,

It's actually the version by Nora Orlandi, not sung by Patty Pravo, who was just doing the dancing on that song on Italian TV. This piece was associated to Pravo more than to Orlandi and somehow found its place on Pravo's album. But you are right, the album should be in the database, and will be some day.

Best regards,

Didier

Here we go.

‣02/07/2012 WebMaster (no title)
The music for "Un treno in più", this previously unreleased song on Patty Parvo's album, is actually "Le Train", with the same arrangements. We already knew that this track was not written for Orient Express (1979), since it can be heard in Stato Interessante (1977). Now we know it was actually from 1974. This also confirms that the track "Spazio 1999" heard on the Cosi come sei soundtrack (1978) and using the same melody line as "Le Train", is indeed from the Space 1999 TV-series, as the title suggested.
