Notes on Vinyl Single: TERRA MAGICA / GOLDRAUSCH (197?)
Obscure German 45rpm single, holding two tracks from the film MADDALENA (1971).
According to the introduction to the Ennio Morricone Musicography (page XXXVI) the tracks belong to the MADDALENA soundtrack (1971) and were reused in the German documentary TERRA MAGICA/GOLDRAUSCH.
No clues anywhere about the director or release date of this alleged documentary.
The information coming with the vinyl single does not help us any further. Ennio Morricone is credited prominently, the track lengths and deviant track titles are listed, but nothing is mentioned about a German documentary or release date.
-------
3:34 – Terra Magica – Identical to track A2 (titled "Chi mai") on the original MADDALENA (1971) soundtrack album.
4:59 – Goldrausch – Shortened, but for the rest identical to track A1 (titled "Come Maddalena") on the same album.
